Girls AAU Basketball

Rhode Island Shooting Stars
What we are all about!

Goals:
The Shooting Stars program has been established to provide an enjoyable and fun oriented athletic environment that fosters rapid development of individual and team basketball skills, as well as good sportsmanship. This program has been established for those individuals who display advanced skills, desire and are committed to the challenge of competing in a highly competitive country wide AAU sponsored basketball program.

Programs:
The Shooting Stars will field National level teams in a number of age groups. All teams will practice and play at an exceptional level of AAU competition. Practices will be held a minimum of once during the week for 2 hours. An additional practice will be held on weekends when there are no tournaments played. Players are expected to practice at home a minimum of 20 minutes a day.

The Sophomore team will be playing in at 8 - 10 tournaments after the High School season ends. We will either have practice / scrimmages or play additional tournaments in the fall prior to the start of the High School season.

As a highly competitive Girls Basketball Club, the Rhode Island Shooting Stars competes in AAU tournaments throughout the Northeast. Our players are expected to be courteous, honest, and respectful with their parents, coaches, teammates, opponents and event officials at all times.
